The Steffens Residence
This retaining wall supports the upper yard and pool. It was showing signs of cracking due to seismic movement and water has followed the cracks down and out, causing efflorescence and spalling of the stucco. The wall was restored, waterproofed, retextured, primed and painted.

Step 2
After acid etching, a second pressure wash is done. Complete neutralization of acid is necessary.

The wall is then caulked with textured caulking and all joints are blended out to eliminate the possibility of "snail trails" on the wall. Any missing stucco is replaced.
-
Step 4
Two full coats of masonry waterproofer are applied.
-
